INTERROGATION: WALSALL

INTERROGATION: WALSALL is a series of events that bring artists and the public together to explore the role of arts and culture in the post-industrial world. Examining how it feels for artists to work in a fast paced, site-responsive way within the public realm.

This investigation involves four weekly missions, where each Wednesday a group of artists arrive at the New Art Gallery Walsall in order to interrogate the public spaces around the gallery.

The project culminates in the Symposium and Panel Discussion, where we will further explore the debate and disseminate the artistís findings. A series of invited speakers will set out their practice in relation to the four missions, and a panel discussion will open the debate up.

Speakers include:
Gary Anderson from the Institute for the Art and Practice of Dissent at Home,
Jeni Burnell from Architecture Sans Frontieres,
Sophie Hope from B + B and
Rich White from Counterwork.
