Dig a Little Deeper - Build on Solid Ground

Essential for Project Officers and Managers in regeneration - community - arts - planning - environment - housing market renewal - registered social landlords - private sector developers - creative practitioners - academics.

Dig a Little Deeper – Build on Solid Ground follows a unique two week symposium, where 10 artists, architects and designers have investigated 10 cleared sites and considered their interim use through creative and engaging methodologies. Their participation in this conference will contribute fresh thinking and stimulate debate.

Speakers from creative practice, local authorities, grassroots organisations and academic institutions as well as artists and architects analyse case studies and discuss the vital role community engagement plays in the regeneration of housing and neighbourhoods and how that role should now be shifting in response to current economic pressures.

Join creative practitioners and their collaborators in an extra session on Thursday to visit some of the sites and hear presentations of their intended proposals. Throughout the afternoon, discussion with other delegates will be encouraged with particular input from the creative practitioners feeding into the workshops on Friday.

Dig a Little Deeper – Build on Solid Ground has been organised as part of Elevate’s innovative Creative Community Engagement programme.
