Studio Voltaire is pleased to present 4 F-ER, a new performance commission by Maria Pask. The performance takes the form of a pilot episode for a soap opera and is based around a group of four women who live in a mobile community.
A new performance by Maria Pask
Maria Paskís projects primarily investigate collective creativity, empowerment and the live moment. Working with open formats and social structures, Pask employs a broad array of methods ranging from sculpture and film to workshops, scripts and live performances and events. The work often has a strong social and collaborative element reminiscent of radical movements of the 1960s and 1970s.
Maria Pask lives and works in Amsterdam. Previous solo exhibitions and performances include Ellen de Bruijne Projects, Amsterdam (2006), Milton Keynes Gallery, Milton Keynes (2005) and BAK, Basis voor Actuele Kunst, Utrecht (2004). The project will be the artists first solo presentation in the United Kingdom following her major commission at last years Skulptur Projekte in Muenster.
