Folded, Glued and Printed - Transition: Curators' Edition

A five day curated show with 14 artists, where the space of the Newlyn Art Gallery, Penzance, UK is to be used to 'curate' the artists' work into a publication. Steven Paige directs the theme of the magazine, giving attention to what may seem to sit to the side of the selected artists main body of work, exploring the deeper context and potential discursive nature of arts practice, the peripheral processes and research that artists use in producing work, yet activities that are essential, dynamic and paramount to the individual’s practice.

Folded, Glued and Printed will develop and grow from the artists’ work, with the space of the gallery containing the raw elements and process of the publication, to be made visible in its entirety on the final day of the exhibition. Each day an edition will be created with the final result on last day of the show.

Featured Artists: Rachel Anderson / Sovay Berriman / Mark Vernon / Michael Donnelly / Andrea Facco / Simon Jaques / Steven Paige / Thomas Qualmann / Gino Saccone / Alison Sharkey / Becky Shaw / Joanna Spitzner / Megan Wakefield / Daryl Waller
