Triangle France - Residency in Marseille

Triangle is a contemporary art structure based at the Friche La Belle De Mai in Marseille. La Friche Belle de Mai is located in a large, 40,000 square metre former tobacco factory, a little to the north-east of the historic centre of Marseille. It was created in the nineties as a new form of cultural centre at the initiative of Christian Poitevin, an elected member of the city council in charge of culture at the time, with the intention of creating a working place for artists, and a platform for new multi-disciplinary forms, exchange, and works in progress.

The residency includes a free large studio, accommodation for 100 euros per month (shared apartment with the other two residents), a production grant of 1000 euros and logistical support available: access to computers, sound and video equipment, assistance in research of materials, techniques and partnerships. Artists are selected by portfolio, which should be composed of: images of your work (maximum 15 pages), text about your work, full CV, motivation letter, a self-addressed, and a stamped envelope for return of mailed portfolios if required.

The deadline for the next residency, April - July 2008, is Fri 8 Feb 2008.
