Anniversary - An Act of Memory

Monica Ross aims to publicly recite the Preamble and all 30 articles of Universal Declaration of Human Rights, from memory, alone and collectively 60 times to mark the 60th Anniversary of the Declaration.

This is a call to artists to join her in reciting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, from collective memory on Saturday 19th September 2009 at Beaconsfield, London.

Recitations have taken place in diverse places such as the House of Commons and Brighton Peace Messengers Festival and on dates such as the 190th Anniversary of the Peterloo Massacre.

This Beaconsfield recitation will be multi-linguistic and coincide with the Londonís Doors Open weekend and bring artists together.
