Talking Shop: surgeries and networking led by Live Art Advisory Network (LAAN), will be a free event for recent graduates and early career artists (up to three years making work) working in the areas of live art and interdisciplinary performance practices, offering both advice and information from LAAN.
Surgeries and Networking
One-to-one advice sessions will be offered on a first come first served basis to artists who want to discuss their practice with an advisor, as well as small group sessions and discussions on subjects such as promoting your work to programmers/curators, funding opportunities, maintaining your practice, developing support structures. There will be material to take away and the event will include an opportunity to meet and socialise with other artists.
No need to book... just turn up, but come prepared with a sense of what you want to talk about.
The Live Art Advisory Network is a partnership between Artsadmin, Live Art Development Agency and New Work Network to support artists through professional development initiatives.
This event is free. No booking required. Places for one-to-one advisory sessions are limited.
