apexart - call for submissions

apexart is requesting short mobile phone videos that you just had to take, be it last month or last year. Taken on your city's streets, apexart seeks videos that were recorded out of a sense of voyeurism, a sincere desire to connect, or to record that odd scene, those moments are an intimate snapshot of the city's inhabitants that capture a larger message about a city's ethos. Whether you live in London, Tokyo or beyond, we invite you to email us videos taken in your big city that capture these moments so that can show them to others.

After the submission deadline, apexart will choose a selection to screen during a public program on Wed 24 Sep 2008. This screening will take place in conjunction with SCRAWL, an exhibition by collector and curator Harley Spiller that features close to 100 mostly anonymous handmade pronouncements collected from the streets and subways of New York City over the past 25 years.
